  • 1 medium green bell pepper( chopped)
  • 13 tablespoon of chili
  • crushed pepper
  • 1 can and 1/4 of whole tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of tomato paste
  • 1 can of kidney beans ,drain and rinsed
  • 1 can (7 ounces) whole kernel corn I use the green guy can so it make it a bit more spicy
Making bread bowl
  1. Using a serrated knife slice off about an inch from the top of the bread
  2. carve out a "bowl" from within the bread, living about an inch inside
Making the chili
  1. To chop jalapeño pepper avoid touching the seeds if you don't like it so hot spicy you can always run water and get the seeds out)
  2. In same skillet heat oil or butter if you don't like the flavor of olive oil (is not a sin and you will not be any less good cook if you don't like it)add onions; cook, stirring for 5 minutes then bell pepper then jalapeño pepper add chili powder and pepper; cook, stirring for another 5 minutes let it simmer on low fire.

Mix both preparations together and add the tomato can and paste also put my corn and got all to boil then let it simmer till tomato shape is gone add the kidney beans and let it simmer some more .Lets put it like this salsa or all that take bunch of veggies together it taste better the longer it cooks together.

Log Roll Recipe

LOG ROLL
Ingredients:
  • 1 cake mix
  • 2 condense milk cans
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips
  • Half stick of butter
  • Confectioners’ sugar
Preparation
Mix the ingredients for cake mix  use wax paper and butter spray for a big oven pan the idea is to get a very thin layer of cake  don’t forget the wax paper and butter ids the key in here .
Bake in 350 oven  once is done barely color or no color at all just be sure with a toothpick that is done You take it out and roll it on a wet cloth let it cool.
Grab the 2 cans of condense milk and cook them in microwave 3 to 5 minutes at the time look it doesn’t bubble over until is creamy and takes a light brown color you can add some vanilla essence if you like now very easy on your already cool cake layer spread it all over and roll it very carefully and not too tight, you can either take the paper of before you start rolling it or at the same time you do this I prefer the latter.
Now let it cool in refrigerator for at least 20 minutes while you melt your chocolate chips with 1/3 cup of milk, butter and the sugar to give consistency (let it set).
Now you can use the frosting u made on the roll you can cut a little piece of both ends to make the branches I add some peanuts to make it look like gribble put it back in refrigerator and after 15 minutes or so get it out and with a fork scrape the log to make it look like bark .

Arrrrrr! Pirate Ship Cake

Ingredients :
  • 3 cake mix
  • chocolate frosting
  • creme frosting
  • black licorice
  • tootsy rolls
  • black icing ready to use
  • food coloring blue and red
  • white Pages for the sails
  • wooden skewers for the masts
I used 3 boxes of cake mix. I baked each of them in a 9 x 13 inch pan. I drew the basic shape of a ship on a piece of paper( here is my template ), put it on the cooled cakes, and cut the shape out of each of them. I filled the cakes with cooked condensed milk point creamy caramel and stacked them. After they were stacked, I cut down at an angle so that the bottom of the cake was narrower than the top.
I added the cut outs like in the front to give it more depth .I also carved out the deck.
I used chocolate chocolate frosting to decorate the cake. I used a fork to make it look more like wood surface   I rolled to balls of fondant. One I flattened, and the other I made flat on two sides. I put them together with a tiny bit of water and then attached them to the side of the cake. The windows in the back were cut out of fondant and painted with little of watery light blue frosting  .
I place licorice in all the places i wanted divisions on the deck and on the front .I use the ready to use icing for the edges of the Deck
The mast were made with wooden skewers i painted with brown food coloring. The sails are made of paper. I brushed them with vegetable oil, and put them in a 200 degree oven for 5 minutes. (watch them they get burn easily) I threaded the sails on the skewers

I placed the entire cake on a cardboard cake round that I had spread blue royal icing on to look like waves.
since I had so much left over was enough to make 2 little rowboats and an island in one of them I place the candles because was  no place left over in the ship .
had a little shovel and a treasure chest I place on the island and use peaches to make the steps also put part together with whipping cream .
A FEW TIPS
Let the cakes stand until they cool off on their pan is better if you bake them the morning be4 the party and decorate the very next morning or the same night .
I did not find any sharks gummys because we were in a hurry getting things together but I though that would look very cute in the island you can also use cocoa  or sprinkles .
Don't get discourage I am no good at decorating the cake secret is the sails is what gives them the look!

Two For One Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
  Crust recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 butter stick
  • 3 yolks
  • 1/2 sugar cup
  • 3 cups self rising flour
  • 2 or 3 spoonful of milk
Now lets start from the bottom  mix sugar and softened butter till looks creamy then add egg yolks (save the whites for your meringue) add the flour and the milk a bit at the time i say this because the consistency of the crust has to be sticky yet still easy to handle once you have your 2  pie pans greased put half in each and bake on 350 °don't forget to poke some holes and just get it barely golden let it cool

Recipe for Pasta Frola (quince pie)

Pasta Frola is, like many classic Argentinean recipes, Italian in origin. In Italy, the short-bread like dough (pasta frolla) is used in a variety of cakes and cookies; in Argentina it refers specifically to a cake with this crust, filled with quince jam or quince paste. (It can also be made using sweet-potato jam or your jam of choice.) Pasta Frola can be found in upscale bakeries and in everyone's mother's kitchen. It's universal, and part of it's beauty is its absolute simplicity. It's easy and fast, made with ingredients on hand at any time.

2 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 stick butter, softened

3 egg yolks

2-3 tablespoons of milk

quince paste or quince jam (or the jam of your choice)

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter and flour your pan-this recipe makes enough for a small square or rectangular pan, though the photos show small ramekins, which is also fine.

Mix together the flour, sugar and baking powder. Cut the butter in, mixing between your fingers to incorporate the flour mixture and the butter. Keep mixing until it's uniform and resembles coarse sand.

Add the egg and 2 tablespoons of the milk and mix together until you get a ball of dough that is uniform. It should not be too dry (crumbling apart) and should not be sticky. For better results if it is a bit sticky set on refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Roll out the dough onto a floured surface. The dough should be about half an inch think. Cut the dough and put it in to the pan. It should cover the bottom and go up on the sides only a little bit. Pat the dough down around the edges with the back of your fingers.

Take a few spoonfuls of quince jam and spread it over the dough in the pan. I have found that it's easier to mash the jam in a bowl with a fork so that it's easier to spread. Also, if using quince paste, you may need to add some warm water to soften the paste texture. And if you like to cook with red wine use it instead dont worry will evaporate.

Roll out the dough scraps and cut into strips with a pastry cutter or knife. Lay across the top of the jam and dough in a lattice (criss-cross) pattern.

Pop into the oven for a very short time-only about 20 minutes. It should be slightly browned on the top.

My Famous Italian Meringue

Is really not that difficult u need regular sugar water and egg whites you can also use some creme of tartar lets say depends on how much u want a regular meringue will take 6 egg whites 6 spoonful(i am talking big )spoon of sugar will be one for each egg white and enough water to cover the sugar now lets see oh! vanilla flavor too.
Get your egg whites and the creme of tartar if u don't have any u can use a pinch of salt helps too get them ready to writing point or peak...
Now hands on pan place sugar and water and vanilla in pot and heat till almost caramel point or till u get a ball that u can roll in fingers but is still tender...you will have to check all the time don't let it turn dark now this is very important check your whites still pretty stiff on peak point and add very slowly the hot caramel on it at the same time you run the mixer max speed you have to keep this up until the whole mixture is cool off otherwise will not stand.
When you using it as a topping for a pie wait till the pie is cool off naturally if still hot or too cold will make any meringue whip or crack that happens to most people and from my personal experience is that the reason.Good Luck !
