Old time nut cake


Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 11/4 cup of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tea spoon of vanilla essence
  • 21/4 cup of flour
  • 3 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt(this is for beating the egg whites)
  • 1 cup or so of chopped nuts (i prefer walnuts)
  • 2/3 cup of milk
Preparation:
  1. Beat  the butter till is soft add the sugar little by little; then the egg yolks and finally  the vanilla mixed very good till creamy consistency.
  2. Now shift all your dry ingredients but the salt and mix with the nuts add your first mix to this and the milk again all together.
  3. In another bowl mix the egg whites and the salt till written point or snow point with involvements movements( by this i mean don't stir it be very carefully not to flatten the egg whites this will help your cake to raise even better)
  4. Put the preparation in a mold previously sprayed with butter  I prefer the bunt kind and cook on moderate fire 350 for around 1  hour and 15 minutes check after 45 .
  5. Once cool get out of the mold and frost decorate at will I always like chocolate for this kind
